• curprev 04:1604:16, 10 June 2025 Rammybop Message Wall contribs 1,620 bytes +19 The interpretation that kaori is simply crushed to death is one of the biggest misconceptions of the ending and something the film itself does a very poor job of actually communicating, what actually happens is that Kaori is fused into tetsuo, the film uses the symbol of hands/arms in relation to kaori throughout tetsuo’s transformation to communicate kaori’s fusion, kaori is the one who comes out of tetsuo’s body as a 2 hands and grabs kaneda pulling him into akira’s singularity.
