Sakaki
Sakaki (榊) is an empowered and fond disciple of Lady Miyako's. She is an unseemingly fast and strong girl, tomboyish in her appearance, who is sent to battle the Espers, the military, Shotaro Kaneda and Nezu in order to recover the recently-resurrected Akira. Lady Miyako views her as daughter-figure and cares about her deeply. After Sakaki's death she mourns her.

- The name Sakaki means "sacred Shinto tree" (榊).
